Hi I'm Kade

I was raised in Mesa, Arizona but grew up in Spokane, Washington. I work with troubled teens and love it. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Kade and I served a full time mission in Washington. I grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho till i was about 12 years old and then our family moved to Arizona. It was hard at first for me to transition to a big city but what really helped me adjust was basketball. It is what i love to do. I played through high school and i hope to play some form of organized ball through college. I am the middle child in a family with 7 siblings. I was raised by good parents and i love spending time with my family. I have 2 sisters and 4 brothers and growing up was an adventure. We always had someone to play and get into trouble with. I love spending time with those that are close to me. I love my friends and i love making new friends. I am pretty easy going and can get along with pretty much anybody. I am usually pretty quick to love and trust those around me and once we become friends we are friends for life. I love hard work and spending time outside. I think growing up a little on a dairy farm and having the parents I've had has enstilled a good work ethic in me. One of the best feelings in the world is when you can look back on the day and see that you got work done. Working hard just makes the times spent having fun or hanging out with family better.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am i a Mormon? One of the biggest reasons i am a member of this church is because of my love for the Savior, Jesus Christ. I have experienced the joy that comes through His atonement. The feelings of doubt, inadequacy, guilt, and loneliness that comes through the day to day lives that we all live can be washed away by understanding that Jesus is the Christ and that through Him we can overcome all of our weaknesses and shortcomings. The second reason is that we are so very blessed to have living prophets on the earth today. Twice a year we can be counseled by men called of God to ultimately help us return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. God speaks through them just as he did prophets of old to reveal His gospel. He has given them His authority to do what He Himself would do if he was here. I am grateful that our Heavenly Father loves us enough to help us with the problems and trials that we face living in this day and age. I know that these things are true because of the witness i have received from the Holy Ghost. When we ask God our questions and sincerely seek for answers through reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible, all of the answers to the questions we have can be answered by our Heavenly Father just as He has promised. Answers only matter when they come from God. Those are the ones we need to rely on and put our trust in. He will never lead us astray.

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now by preaching His gospel. I miss the privilege I had to preach full time as a missionary. I live my faith now through service to others. I also believe that living my faith isn't only what I do but who I am. My faith in Jesus Christ affects my every word and action. I strive to live as Christ did. To serve others, to love others. I strive everyday to keep His commandments but sometimes I fall. I am not perfect and the faith i have that He will make up my shortcomings gives me hope that i can overcome them and i have a hope that one day i will be able to live with Heavenly Father and my Savior again. The Gospel has all the answers we need and it does provide a hope and peace that can be found nowhere else.
