Hi I'm Dana

I grew up in an active mormon family & now have one of my own! I love the happiness, joy & direction that it brings into my life.

About Me

I grew up the youngest of 8 in an active mormon family. I went to a couple years of college, but my desire from as far back as I can remember, was to be a mom. Now, I am a busy mother of four boys, ranging from 6-17. I love being a mom...nothing makes me grow or give more, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Being a parent has given me a better perspective of how great the gospel of Jesus Christ is. I don't know how kids without a strong faith, can endure the challenges that they face each day in school or with their peers. I love the standards that they church give for everyone...especially the youth. It gives them a guideline of what goals they can set for themselves, and for them to know that they don't have to do what everyone else is doing to be happy. Some hobbies that I enjoy are scrapbooking, jewelry making, blogging, and occasional piano. We also like to snow-ski as a family, and in the summer enjoy being on the lake.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I want to follow my Savior. I truly believe that I can best do that as being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love the opportunities that we have to serve in the church. I currently work with the young women and enjoy being with them! I love the peace and comfort that I feel when I am living the gospel. I feel like it gives me a path that I can follow. I love having a prophet, that receives direction for us TODAY!!

How I live my faith

I really don't feel like I do anything profound, but I try to be a good person. I do my best to follow the commandments and live how Christ would want me to. I enjoy serving with the young women. They inspire me through their dedication to doing what's right.
