Hi I'm Austin

I am Goofy and funny, but a major on goofiness and I am a "mormon"

About Me

I am a pretty goofy guy, I like to hang out and cook, oh man do I love to cook! Especially for other people, it's probably the reason for my weight starting to go up. Regardless of that I do like to exercise and learn new things, my friends call me the human dictionary, because I like to spout off things randomly when silence is there, about something I found out that day or something that I remember. I enjoy playing games both indoor and outdoor and even board games are sometimes fun for me. I grew up with this religion in my life. Unfortunately growing up was hard for me, I wasn't the best looking person for most people, kids made fun of me because I had acne at age 8 and a mustache, that was painful for me to deal with. I had to learn not to base my testimony off other people because they aren't perfect. My mom actually couldn't bare to see me unhappy so she offered let me go to another church, with friends that loved me, I am still friends with those kids I grew up with today, but there was a void in my life that could not be filled any other way than by being with my family at Church, I remember one thing I said "Mom I won't go to any other church, because I know this one is true".

Why I am a Mormon

Even as a Latter Day Saint I struggled with my happiness, I didn't know what was wrong with me. I found out one day that I wasn't happy because of two things 1.I wasn't being just one me I wasn't that goofy guy all the time that I enjoyed being, 2.I really didn't know the faith I was living was the one Christ wanted me to. Painful growth ensued as I had to figure out if the faith I was living was right (which I know it is). To do this I had to ask God and keep on doing what I thought was right, but didn't know completely sure if it really was. To this day I am not sure of everything, but I know one thing from a small yet monumental experience, God answers prayers... and here is how I know... One night after having just a rough day after everyone was sleeping, I was up crying. "Why do I have to go through this?" I asked, I just felt God's love for me and I felt good and comfortable again, it's because of this that I know that God cares and answers prayers I know he is happy with me wanting to learn and to be a good person, this church is true, and because we don't know everything God encourages us to ask for things and try things out, you may burn your hands a few times in the process, but we can't be afraid to try things out (unless you know it's bad, like killing and meth you guys know that's wrong:) )! It's true and to the reader of this I know you know it's true too try the things that the missionaries teach you if you really don't, you'll find your way!

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now, by being a missionary in the Spokane Washington Mission and sharing this wonderful news that God's one true church is restored, really nothing can be done about that fact, so I would rather be with it than against it.
