Hi I'm Lori

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most important thing about me is that I have an awesome family with a wonderful husband and five great kids. We have four boys and one girl, so we spend a lot of our time on the football field, baseball field and in the gym. Our kids are very fun and active. I am a stay at home mom and am a very active volunteer in the community. I love to volunteer at the local schools to improve the educational experience for all children. I also love to run, read and watch good movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and have always felt that the church was true, but my testimony becomes stronger every day. I have often thought about when I truly decided that the church was something that I wanted to commit my life to, and there was a series of events that solidified my testimony. The summer after I graduated from high school, my seminary class took a three week trip across the country to visit all the church sites. We saw the sacred grove, where Joseph Smith prayed to find out which church to join. I know, after standing on that sacred ground, that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ did visit him there. I know that they wanted him to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ and they made a way for him to be able to do just that. I know this church is true and that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and restored the gospel so that we could have Christ's church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I am the president of the youth organization for the girls ages 12-18. I teach the youth on Sundays and we have activities every week. We work on service projects together, have fun game nights, teach the gospel, and teach important life skills. We recently helped gather hundreds of bags of food for our local food bank to help people who are struggling financially. We have also helped cut down trees and clean the yards of some elderly folks who couldn't do it themselves. I think it is really important to not only believe that Christ is our Savior, but to show at all times that we are His hands. We are here to do His work and he would want us to serve one another. It is amazing to see youth taking time out of their busy lives to serve those around them.
