Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon, a wife, and a mother of 4.

About Me

I'm very blessed at this time in my life to be a stay at home mom to my 4 kids (ages 9,8,6, & 3). My three oldest kids are in school all day now, so I'm enjoying the time I have with my youngest before she goes off to school too. It really is true what they say, "time flies!". Sometimes the days can seem long when you have lots of little ones at home, but the years pass quickly, and before you know it you're wondering where the time has gone! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, laughing, baking, doing most anything creative, and being outdoors. I finished my AA degree before I had our first child, and look forward to one day going back to school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born and raised in the Mormon church, and in an area where the church was very strong. My family wasn't perfect growing up, but I was blessed with parents who had strong testimonies of the Gospel and loved the Lord. They helped instill the principles of faith, prayer, and obedience in my heart... and as I grew up and had to rely on these principles on my own, my own testimony began to develop and grow into what it is today. I know that I have a Father in heaven who loves and cares for me, and who hears and answers my prayers. I know that I am not here on this earth by chance, but that I was given this opportunity to be tested and tried that I might one day be worthy to live with him again. I know that my Savior came to this earth and suffered and died for me, not only to Atone for my sins, but also that he might be able to succor me in my time of need. And I know that the Lord will guide and direct me in this life if I turn to him, and have FAITH in him, so that I can live the life I am meant to live... a life of purpose. I am grateful to have a living Prophet and apostles on the earth today, and I know they speak for the Lord. I know that by following their council we can have peace and happiness in this life.

How I live my faith

We stay busy in our ward through weekly church meetings, as well as cub scouts and activity days with our two older kids. I also love going to the temple when I have the opportunity, and look forward to the new temple being built even closer to our home. My husband and I are currently primary teachers to a fun and energetic class of 5 year olds. And I am also blessed to be a visiting teacher to two wonderful sisters in our ward.
