Hi I'm Raymond Turley

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Both sides of my family has been in Arizona since they were asked in the late 1800's to settle Arizona as Mormon settlers. I am the youngest of 6 children. I served my mission from 1978 to 1980 in the Brasil Rio de Janeiro Mission. I have taught science for a public school for almost 30 years now. I have a wonder wife and 4 amazing children. I love being outdoors and being active. In my spare time I coach volleyball so I can be around my daughter. If you ever want to find me just look at the school musical, chorus concert, swim meet, softball game, football game, volleyball game, or basketball game watching my children compete and/or perform. I currently have a son on his mission in Budapest Hungary and another son that just returned from Sofia Bulgaria. I love smiling and enjoying life.

Why I am a Mormon

It is through being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that I truly understand the roles Jesus Christ plays in my life. He is my redeemer, my savior, my brother, and my friend. It is only through Him and His atonement that I will be saved.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day, some days better than other, and some days are easy, some are difficult. But it is through that day by day enduring that I have learned what it means to be a mormon and live my faith. I try to be giving and charitable as Christ has taught by helping a neighbor in need, by giving a kind word, and by trying to see those in need around me. I try to live my faith by not always doing what is easy but by what is right. I often fall short at what is expected but it is through my faith that I see my potential and never give up on my final goal- to be with my family forever.
