Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but that doesn't mean anything. I am a Mormon because I love my family and love being with them, and i love the Church's believes in family, and to know that through the Church I can be with my family here on Earth and also we can be together even after death. I have also worked to gain my OWN testimony, that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that he died for us and our sins, and that through him we can be forgiven of our sins and make it back to live with our families and our Heavenly Father again. Also That this is the true Church of Christ and that I Know that god has once again called prophet to the earth to help lead and guide us through these hard times and help us stay on the path that leads us back to our loving Heavenly Father, Starting with Joseph Smith, and God has continued to them to our current prophet Thomas S. Monson. I have also come to know through Reading and Studying that the Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and goes hand and hand with the bible, and for everyone who thinks that the Book of Mormon is not a true book from god, I Challenge you to give it a chance and actually read it and put it to the test, and then to do as Moroni says in Moroni 10:4 "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." This is what I did and this is how i came to know that the Book Of Mormon is what we clam it to be, and by knowing that we can come to know that the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints is the true of Christ.

How I live my faith

Well at the moment I am living my Faith by serving the Lord, as a full time Missionary serving in the Spokane, Washington Mission. And as I have this chance to be a full time Missionary of the Lord, i have the chance to wake up every morning and study, from the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and then to go out everyday to help others build a stronger faith in Christ and Repent of their sins, and then to help them fallow the example our savior and be Baptized as he was. I love having the chance to do this all day everyday and to see the change in peoples lives as they change to become more like Christ, and to see all the blessings that they are blessed with.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Brock Stubbs
There are a lot of things that tell me there is a God, but the biggest one is the animals i work with, for my dog, so my sheep to my horses, to even my cows I rope. Every single Animal I own and work with is completely different from one another they all have their own personalities, and attitudes. and from just working with each of them epically when I am training a horse, o each horse is different and needs to be trained or worked with different some learn it fast, or others take some time to learn, so just like us they are all different. and so that is a huge testimony to me that this us animals the world its self was created by a God, it wasn't some accident or a big bang, Elder Russell M. Nelson Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles “Could an explosion in a printing shop produce a dictionary? The likelihood is most remote. But if so, it could never heal its own torn pages or reproduce." so when you can show me a dictionary or any book made by some accident or like that, I'll maybe think different, but good luck Cause i know that you wont and I know that there is A god and he Created us and this earth and everything we see. Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Brock Stubbs
Well its kinda like the Police having the authority to give you a ticket, I can't get some red and blue lights and put them on my truck and go buy a Police Halloween custom and go pulling people over and giving them tickets, it just doesn't work cause I don't have that authority to do that, make since right? Well Baptism is the same way, Baptism is a scared convent between you and heavenly Father, so since Heavenly Father cant come down and baptizes us, he has given men, the authority to do it for him or in other words the Priesthood, ya pretty cool I know. So he has always given that Priesthood to all of the Prophets of old Adam, Moses Abraham, Aron, and in the New Testament John the Baptist was given that Priesthood as well, That is why Jesus Christ went to John to be Baptized and not anyone else, then Christ gave that Priesthood to his Twelve Apostles. After Christ was killed and his Twelve Apostles, that Priesthood was lost, then in 1829 Joseph Smith as he was translating the Book of Mormon had a question on how we should be Baptized, so he asked in prayer and then Heavenly Messengers who had held this authority anciently including the prophet John the Baptist and apostles Peter, James, and John. Came to him and gave him that priesthood authority. And now we have that same priesthood authority of old today to perform convents such as baptism, cause without the priesthood, such things would be, like a ticket given my me in a Halloween custom, not the Real thing.
