Hi I'm Jens

I'm 18 years-old, I love music, I'm a mormon.

About Me

I play piano, guitar, ukelele, and mandolin and I love to sing. I graduated from high school in June, and I look forward to attending Brigham Young University after my mission. I am currently serving the people of New York as a missionary for my church and love it! Oh, and I'm the oldest of six, going on seven!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church, but I've chosen to stay with it because of countless experiences I have had through the years that have strengthened my faith. Whenever I have found myself struggling in any way, these experiences have confirmed to me that those things that my parents had taught me ever since I was a child were true.

How I live my faith

Throughout high school, I attended seminary every morning before school at 5:45. I have attended church every Sunday as possible (even though sometimes I thought it was pretty boring when I was younger...), I've never done drugs, smoked, drank, or any of that stuff, and I have chosen to keep myself pure until marriage, while many of my friends outside the church haven't. On September 2, I reported to the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. I am currently serving as a missionary in the New York, New York South Mission and I absolutely love it! I am serving in the Spanish language, helping people to come unto Christ and partake in all the blessings that the gospel has granted me. I will be here for the next two years, in which time I can only call my family twice each year (I can email friends and family weekly though) and I put off dating and marriage until I get back. However it is a small price to pay to help my fellow man receive these blessings!
