Hi I'm Melissa

I am a dentist, but traded in my instruments to stay at home with my daughter. I love being a wife and a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the most wonderful man. I love being married and having him as my companion. We have one adorable daughter and are looking forward to adding to our family. I am a dentist, but have been a stay at home mom since our daughter was born. I love it. I love being with her, teaching her and laughing as she discovers new things day by day. I am one of four children in my family and the only girl. Consequently, I love sports and enjoy watching and playing baseball, basketball, football, tennis, golf and so on…

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home where my mother taught us about understanding Heavenly Father’s plan for us and about the importance of following Jesus Christ and obeying His commandments. While I was young, I was able to follow her example and the example of my stepfather as I learned for myself about the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I read the scriptures and prayed to know if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church. I felt the confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the scriptures are the word of God and the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are not only good principles to live by, but also revelation from God to help us to live righteous lives and return to live with Him someday. I know that Jesus Christ lived, sacrificed for us and lives again. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church with the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and by following the principles set out in the scriptures in ancient times, as well as through modern day revelation, we can live with our families forever. These truths make me happy and I know that they are the key to happiness in this life.

How I live my faith

I attempt to live my faith in every aspect of my life. I try to think, speak, and act in a way that would be pleasing to my Heavenly Father. I try to live my faith by serving my neighbors and the members of my community. I am also able to hold callings in my ward and serve the other members of my ward in whatever calling I may have at the time. I enjoy being able to give this service. Additionally, I try to make it a priority to teach my daughter about my faith and raise her to have an understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Living my faith is as important as having the faith. By attempting to live my faith in every aspect of my life, in everyday of my life, I am able to show my Heavenly Father that I love him and want to live according to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
