Hi I'm Lonnie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father, grandfather and a great grandfather. I retired from managing a cattle feedlot for the last 47 years. I'm a convert to the church. I like woodworking and try to stay busy working around the house and helping others. The wife and I had two children, adopted three children and have a foster daughter. So we have six total.

Why I am a Mormon

I married a mormon girl, but it took me 18 yrs to be baptized. I'm a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The teachings of the church has helped me understand my purpose on this earth and how I need to prepare, in this life, to be worthy to have eternal life with my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have served in leadership positions in the church. I have worked with the youth planning activities and help them live good lives. I go to church very sunday and serve in positions in the church during the week. I visit families very month to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help them any way I can.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Lonnie
Our boby is a temple unto our spirit or a house for our spirit self. Whatever affects our boby affects our spirit. When we defile our boby, we affect our spirit for the worse. When we die our boby stays on earth and our spirit will rise to heaven. I don't think we want to send a defiled spirit to heaven. I'm thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ for when the time comes our boby and spirit will be reunited which called the resurrection. Show more Show less
