Hi I'm Brayden Spencer

I'm a future entrepenuer, I love airsofting, and I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I recently graduated high school and have been attending college. I am two classes away from earning my associates degree and know exactly what I want to do as far as education goes. I have a college career plan and know what I have to do to combine my skill at business with my passion of airsofting. Airsofting is my way of getting out and releasing energy. I play with my friends and love the feel of real combat situations without the higher danger of getting into real gun sports. I am the oldest of 5 children. My mother and Father love us all dearly. I grew up in the church and have always loved it! I have so many friends who I love and who support me in everything I do. I live for my family and friends, life would be pointless without them. My family here on earth lets me know of my heavenly family and my heavenly father and how much he loves me. I love my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up being a member of the church, but that doesn't mean that I have always been firm in the faith because of my own choice. I relied on the testimony of my parents and other family members until I grew older. I never had a huge revelation about the truth of the church, but through small and simple things I have come to know, without a doubt, that the church is true. I feel so strongly that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. I know that he bled and died for me because he loves me so much. I am God's child and he kows me so personally. Because of His love for me he wants me to be able to live with him for all of eternity. I know that for that to happen, he has given me his words to follow so that at the last day I will know what I need to do to be worthy to enter into his presence. The church and the members and the simple truths of the gospel have had such a powerfull effect on my life and I want so badly to be able to bring that message of joy to everyone so we can all live together as children of God after this life.

How I live my faith

As a member of the LDS church I love to serve. I know that God loves all of His children and wants only the best for everyone. I know that I can be an instrument in His hands to serve His children. I love to do simple acts like mowing lawns for those who are unable to, I love shoveling snow during the winter time and all other physical acts of service because of the feeling I get when I can look at what I have done and know that I have helped one of God's children. That feeling is sweeter than any other. I am involved in church leadership as well. I have served in many positions to assist the members of the church and to help everyone grow spiritually. I feel that as I have such a strong testimony, I need to share that with others to help them strengthen or develop their own testimony.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Brayden Spencer
Were it not for the grace of God, no man on earth could be saved in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus Christ suffered in the garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross to take our sins upon him so that through the 'blood of the lamb' all might be cleansed and be able to dwell in the prescence of God after this life. But, though Christ's atonement was infinite and eternal, we also must do all we can to be clean and work toward eternal life with God. There is no way we, of ourselves, can earn our way to heaven, but we are commanded to do all we can to work out our salvation. I see it this way: if Christ died for me and took all my sins upon him, I want to try my best to not place any more sins upon his back. It is by grace we are saved after all we can do. What is the priesthood?

Brayden Spencer
The Priesthood by which our church is lead today is simply put, the authority of God. The same authority that Christ had when he was on the earth. It is permission from God to perform sacred saving ordinances in His name, such as baptism. All male members who are worthy and prepared can receive the pristhood by laying on of hands by those who have that priesthood. Priesthood holders have the responsibility to lead, guide and serve God's children here on earth. The priesthood seals in heaven the ordinances we perform here on earth and makes them eternal. I know that the priesthood was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith after many years of being lost. It is the authority of God to run the church in His name. It is real and it is here for our benefit. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Brayden Spencer
Absolutely! We believe in the same organization that existed in the primitive church, namely apostles, prophets, pastors, techers, evangalists and so forth. God revealed his gospel through his servants the prophets in times of old, so why would he not tell us what we should do today? I know that God loves us just as much and wants to give us His word. He does that through a prophet. A prophet is a man called of God, not of men, who speaks directly with Him and then in turn lets us know what God would say to us. I know that the prophet who leads the church today has been called of God. I know, for I have preyed about it and received an answer. I also know that if we follow the words of the living prophet, God will never lead us astray and we will be blessed. Show more Show less
