Hi I'm Chelsea

I am a born and raised California girl living in Texas, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I am 25 years old, grew up in San Diego California, since graduating High School I have lived in 6 different states in a period of about 8 years. I was married last August to the most wonderful man in the world. Marriage has been one of the best adventures I have ever been on. We just moved from Arizona where he received his Master Degree and are now living in Texas waiting to hear from Medical Schools. I work at Nordstrom. I love fashion, photography, art, food, culture, and most of all I love seeing the world and traveling. My husband and I recently packed a backpack and toured Europe, it was amazing! I have been to 11 different countries and plan on visiting many more. I am excited to one day have the joy of starting a family and to see what the future brings us.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in an area with people from all different walks of life, religious backgrounds, ethnicity, wealth classes etc. I have had opportunities to be exposed to many different situations. Even though I was born into a wonderful Mormon Family I have definitely found the truth of the gospel and Christ's church on my own. While my faith has been tested many times, and I have questioned the faith I was born into, the more and more I have studied and learned about the Savior Jesus Christ and our loving Father in Heaven and His love for me and all His children, the more real it has become for me. As I have lived the teachings of the church, such as being kind to one another, service, prayer, scripture study, living a chaste life, and avoiding the consumption of drugs and alcohol I am a very happy person. As I have had opportunities to share the message of Christ and the restoration of His church, the witness of the Holy Spirit has touched my heart to help me know of the truthfulness of His teachings. Although it can be hard to live the way He wants us to, as a result of living His commandments and relying on Him through tough times, we are promised to live with Him again and be with our families forever! I know the Savior lives and that His church has been restored to the earth. It really is an amazing thing and it really will bring light, joy and much happiness to all who accept it. I know it has for me!

How I live my faith

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we are all asked to give service. Everyone is taken care of. Before moving to Texas I had the opportunity to be a part of our Children's organization "Primary" on Sundays. We would plan activities and sing songs and teach the simple truths of the Gospel to the kids. It brought so much joy to me each week, and gives parents the opportunity to learn and focus in their own classes. Although we do all receive church assignments to serve, I believe the best opportunities to live and show our faith happens outside the church walls, by being a good friend or family member, caring for those who may be going through tough times, random acts of kindness and service, forgiving one another, daily prayer and scripture study, being examples, doing the right thing even if it may seem difficult, smiling and simply following the savior.
