Hi I'm Jessica.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Jessica - wife and mother. I love reading, writing, singing, playing the piano and journaling about my family's lives. I went to a university where I met my husband and earned my Bachelor's in English. We have two daughters, whom we adore, and our favorite things to do are things we can do together. I'm blessed to be able to stay at home as a mom while my husband works. In my spare time, I like learning about history, canning, sewing (as an amateur!) and snorkeling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised in an LDS home by wonderful parents and great siblings. Some of my earliest memories are of reading scriptures as a family or having family nights together, studying the gospel and playing together. I have always loved the gospel and always knew it to be true. Sometimes my testimony has been stronger than other times, but by studying the scriptures and praying, I am always led to the same conclusion: the gospel of Jesus Christ is restored to the earth and we have a living prophet. Our Savior knows each of us personally and loves us more than we can comprehend. Being a mother has allowed me to taste a bit of that endless love and I feel humbled to know that my Father in Heaven and my Savior love me eternally and perfectly, despite my imperfections. I am so grateful to have the church and its teachings in my life. I would be lost without it.

How I live my faith

I am lucky enough to get to help teach the children in our congregation about the gospel, which means teaching basic concepts and singing beautiful children's hymns. The Spirit of the Lord is ever present during those lessons and I feel honored to be able to hear the children as they share their growing knowledge and testimonies. I also live my faith by teaching my children. They are such precious treasures to me and so I give them the most precious thing I have - my testimony of our Father's plan for us, along with other gospel teachings. My deepest desire is that they will also come to know of the truthfulness of the teachings of the church and scriptures, and that they will find true joy and happiness in it.
