Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church when I was nineteen, and that was a long time ago, and I lived happily ever after.

About Me

I joined the church in 1970 shortly after my girl friend. In 1972 we were married in the Salt Lake Temple, for time and eternity. In 1982 I was in a plane crash. I spent the next 3 months in the hospital, the first three weeks, of which I was unconscious. Let me tell you, nothing will change your mind like a head injury. In addition to my left side being paralyzed from the head injury, my legs were crushed, broken, and ripped, and my back was broken. We went through some hard times adjusting to the new me and our changed circumstances, but, with the help of God, and the love and support of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, we have over come all of our trials, so far. We are committed to making sure our eternal marriage lasts for ever. We have now been going steady for 45 years, married for 39, and well on our way to eternity. My wife and I have four wonderful children, and seven perfect grandchildren. Oh, and by the way, because of priesthood blessings, you probably would never guess what I have been through. I have full use of all my limbs, except I'm not left handed anymore, but I will be. I would play with my grandchildren more, but the closest ones live ten hours away. The good news is, everyone comes home for at least one week every summer. We are an eternal family, and they all love us as much as we love them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love God, and I love the Lord Jesus Christ. Before I joined the church I didn't even know them. I had no idea of how God loved me, or how Christ had suffered for me. I did not know of the plan they had for my eternal happiness. Life is much better knowing who I am, and what God expects of me. I now have hope of eternal life in the kingdom of God, being a joint heir with Jesus Christ. I want to tell you, my goals have changed since I found Christ's church. I have changed since I joined Christ's church, and I am much happier.

How I live my faith

I am a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. I do my best to do what ever is asked of me. Over the years I have taught the little kids in primary, the youth in Sunday school, and the old men in priesthood. I was at one time assigned to teach men incarcerated in prison. Right now I am serving on a ward mission, teaching any who are interested in hearing about Gods plan for us. I guess you could say I'm a teacher. I love teaching people about the plan of happiness that God has made for us. I love teaching about what Jesus Christ has done for us, and what we have to do, to accept his gift.
