Hi I'm Natalie

I am a small town girl. Mom of 4 kids with a helpful husband. I love to play softball and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most important things to me are my husband, 4 young kids, and my Mom. I love sports. Softball is my favorite and I play every week. My goal is to hit an over the fence home run. Something I have accomplished in fast pitch but not in slow pitch. I have hit the fence several times so it's getting close. Crossing to do's off my list is a highlight even if it takes me the whole year to get it done. Short family trips are a blast and looking back at our fun pictures take us right back. Most of my day is spent doing kid homework, kid piano practice, and driving kids to and from school or practice. During our much time on the road me and the kids memorize together. We started with the Pledge of Allegiance and now we are 2/3 done with memorizing The Family: A Proclamation to the World. I love when my kids ask me what words like indivisible, republic, matrimony, and premortal mean (dictionary help required of course). I like life to be exciting and stable all wrapped up together!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has really helped me as I grown up. Living my life the way encouraged by the Church kept me a bright eye'd teen. In high school, I saw many of the kids choosing to drink, become intimate, and fail to find meaning in their life while I felt very confident and focused. I was still able to have a great social life and even be crowned homecoming queen with out having to suffer the heart break that comes with many of these poor choices teens can make. I felt so blessed that I decided to serve a mission for the church to share this stability with others. As I learn more about Christ's teachings I see life from a higher perspective. One that doesn't feel overcome with life but excited to be living it even while trudging through tough times. As a wife and a mother I am seeing new ways the gospel strengthens me. Finding patience with a crying baby or receiving impressions from the Holy Ghost keeping me and my kids from unseen danger are some of the blessings that come as I strive to live my life close to my Savior. Just knowing I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and is very aware of my needs brings a great deal of comfort to my life.

How I live my faith

Currently I work with the teenage girls ages 12-18. We meet together every Sunday for a gospel centered lesson and then every Wednesday night for some kind of activity. As I teach lessons it amazes me to see how smart these girls are and how they are learning how to handle the challenges this stage of life brings. Our Wednesday activities give us a chance to learn something new like how to fish or make pajama pants or just have fun while playing something like kick ball. I also am assigned two women in the church locally to visit each month. During our visit there is a spiritual message we talk briefly about and then we just talk and get to know each other. Sometimes our visits last 15 minutes and once and a while an hour. If any of these women where to need anything like an emergency babysitter or to run a load in my washer if theirs broke, I want them to feel comfortable to call me to help.
