Hi I'm Grace

I am a wife, a mother, a postal clerk and I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I was born and grew up in Taiwan, and moved to the States after graduated from college. I have five children, 3 boys and 2 girls, with my husband. I work for the Postal Service since 1998. I enjoy excise, and was once a member of the varsity volley ball team in my high school. I love music. I like to sing, to dance and play instruments. My dream is to have a self-sufficient garden and a small ranch with some farm animals after retired from work.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at 9 with my mother and sister. Had my father passed away when I was 7, it's wonderful to learn that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and It's possible for me to be with my dad again someday. Although I became a member at a very young age and had enjoyed learning the gospel, I was inactive for 8 years in my late 20s and early 30s, while a young wife and mother, just moved from Taiwan to the States, trying to make a living with husband at a new place and build a family. It was when I finally reconnected with the church through a sister return-missionary, I started to pray and read scriptures again. My soul was comforted, my heart was filled and my mind can see that Heavenly Father had watched me all those times through my trails and my Savior Jesus had his arms reached out to offer help. The miracle of this gospel is it changes you from inside out through the atonement of Christ. We may not change the world around us, but we can change the way we see the world. Like the Bible testified of Jesus, I believe the Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

The knowledge of life eternal and the atonement of our Savior have great impact to my life. It gives me the desire to be a better person and the strength to continue go for the best that I can be through prayers, scripture study, repentance and by keeping the commandments. Other gospel teachings that influence my life are: faith, hope and charity; integrity, forgiveness and endurance. But most importantly is to "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (St. Matthew 22:37-38) I know that no matter where I go, what I do or how I feel; I would not be alone. “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Matt. 22:39) I learned to love people the way that God have loved me. Be a wife and mother enable me to better understand my Heavenly Father's plan for me and offer me the perfect platform to practice his teachings. Be active in the Church gives me the opportunity to be in part of his works on earth, to serve others and learned that we are all children of God, He knows and loves each one of us.
