Hi I'm Mike.

I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ a non-Mormon, after careful prayer and much spiritual assurity, I'm a Mormon and love it.

About Me

I'm a convert to this Church. I have the love of my life and best friend for a wife and 6 beautiful children who I have been sealed to for time and all eternity. I love spending time with my family because that's all that is important in this life. I enjoy athletics of any kind that I can be involved in. Currently playing softball for my place of employment for example. I enjoy Michigan football, GO BLUE, and any other Detroit teams in sports, and some Arizona teams too. I BBQ with the best of them, make great salsa, and enjoy good times with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because many years ago I was looking for the truth about religion, in general. Being raised Catholic and having roots in other religions I was often confused about what was true. A very smart man once told me the only way to find out was to pray to God for the truth and if I had a contrite spirit and a humble heart he would answer me. Well he did and needless to say it was very clear which religion he wanted me to be a part of. It's hard to deny the type of answers God and his Son gave me. When Jesus visits you and shares his message with you it's hard to deny it. When the spirit talks to you and like a magnet pulls you into something it's hard to deny it. When the blessings that are poured out onto you from following His word are like a waterfall of love, it's impossible to deny it. I've seen the difference of how the influence of the Holy Ghost works on people and in my own family. It's impossible once you have known this type of truth to ever think there is anything else on Earth so true than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I currently serve my ward by being as a good an example of what the Lord wants me to be as I can. I have a calling in the financial area of the church and I know I would not have such a calling if the Lord did not trust me to handle some of the responsibilities that comes with that calling. For example, I am responsible for counting tithing and other donations to the church on a weekly basis. I have to make sure every penny is accounted for and appropriately documented. I work with members of our Bishopric as a system of checks and balances to make sure that no one is mishandling the tithing people work hard to donate to our church. There are only 5 people in our entire ward who have this calling from the Lord and I take pride and magnify this duty the best I can.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Mike.
To me, truth is always in the eye of the beholder. If the Lord didn't want something so righteous to grow and be a part of so many lives it wouldn't. Show more Show less
