Hi I'm Garth

I grew up in Southern California. Now live in Arizona. Work on swimming pools. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California the oldest of one brother and two sisters. After high school, a very good friend invited me to live in Hawaii, which I did for 3 years. It was a great life. Work all morning and surf in the afternoon. My only commitment was to me. Having grown up L.D.S., I was aware of a more Christ centered life. I knew that there was more that I could be. I knew that Jesus Christ would want me to be more. After attending a meeting in which a Prophet of God, Spencer W. Kimball, declared that we need more missionaries in the world, I realized that was what I should do. I was able to serve a full-time mission for 2 years in Idaho in which I came closer to the Savior and his teachings. I married a wonderful girl and had 4 amazing children. To this day, after 33 years, I still love and cherish my dear and sweet wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that there are many roads we can follow in this life. Some are filled with pleasure and thrills, others with sorrow and pain. And some bring great joy and happiness. I know the teachings of Jesus Christ provide us with a map of the good roads. The ones of most worth. Family ,children, and a belief that God really does love us and gives us commandments to help us choose the good things in life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints provides those sacred guidlines for our families to live by. It gives us hope and faith in God. The church helps us understand Gods plan for his children on earth and how we can return as families . I testify of the truth of these things and the goodness it's brought into my life, and the lives of my family.

How I live my faith

The church provides us opportunities to serve which is part of Jesus Christ's teachings when he was on earth. I've had chances to teach all diffrent ages. From 3 year olds to elderly to people investigating the church. And in each case I learn as much or more than those I teach. I try to always remember that I represent the Lord. My actions speak as to how much I love the Lord.
