Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and a father of 4 children. I graduated from college in 92 with a degree in construction management. I have had a great career in construction until about 4 years ago when the market really affected my employment. I made a change and have been selling appliances for the last 4 years. I am a people person which really helped me to excel in this field. It was really the first time that I had done sales. As it ends up I really enjoy what I do but still miss a bit the career that I have been trained in. I enjoy all sports and really enjoy playing softball. I enjoy watching baseball and football a bunch. I love spending time with my family. We love to go on vacations together when we get the chance. We love the beach and my sons, myself and friends make sure that we visit the San Diego area at least once a year to boogie board. It is a blast. I truly enjoy life and try to serve other people.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the church because my Heavenly Father has shown me my purpose in life and that with faith I can accomplish anything. I was raised in the church and always felt good about the things that I was taught. From a young age I have always had a lot of faith and hope. My testimony of the gospel really grew when I had the opportunity to serve a 2 year mission for the church. I was very willing to serve I thought it would be a great experience. I had no idea of the growth that I would experience as I served. Not only did I have the chance to teach others about the truth of the gospel but my testimony really grew as I witnessed miracles that happened in the lives of each of these people. I was tested and really learned to stand on my own testimony. To this day I still refer to my experiences on my mission as a real foundation of my testimony. I will forever be thankful for the opportunity to do it. I know that the time that I served has meant so much to the people that I worked with. I know that the gospel is true and is the reason I dedicate my life and service to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

To be Mormon is worth it and not just a passive thing. I attend church each week but also participate in all activities and service that I am asked to do. My family is greatly blessed and I have seen the watchful hand of my Heavenly Father guiding and blessing me because of my service. I believe that your character is one of your most important treasures. My friends and colleagues know what I stand for and that I am a Mormon. I live the standards of the church do the best I can. One of the greatest blessings in my life is the knowledge that I have a Savior who suffered and died for me that I might repent when I fall short. I have personally experienced the steps of forgiveness and know that God loves me. I know that when I go through trials and tribulations that I can ask for strength to make it through them. I have spent many years teaching and developing youth. This has been very rewarding for me as I have seen them grow and make good choices.
