Hi I'm Phoebe

I am mother, a mountain biker, a songwriter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family. My siblings were my best friends. I enjoyed several pets while growing up including a pet deer named Dodee, a 6 foot iguana and a double yellow head Amazon parrot. We loved to sing together and art and music were a big part of our childhood and life. My mother was an incredible artist and my father an architect (before computers). These talents were passed down to my siblings. I took to music. I composed my firsts song when I was 10. I have written several songs since and now enjoy the original music of my sisters, brother and daughters. I love being part of a big family that has grown to over 40 grandchildren. It is fun to watch all of the cousins grow up but most of all I enjoy that my siblings are still my best friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of nine children, 6 sisters and 2 brothers. My oldest sister was born with severe birth defects and her small life changed all of ours. My Mother, a recent convert made a pledged of her life of service to the Lord if He would spare her sweet daughter. Her prayer was answered and my Mother lived up to that pledge. We grew up with her perfect example in the service of the Lord. We grew closer through each trial and stronger with each new challenge. We lost our brother Brooks to Spina Bifida when he was seven yrs. old. His short life impacted all of ours for the better. We learned that there was no such thing as needless suffering. There is a purpose and design in all things. When we lost our niece to the same birth defect three decades later, this only strengthened our commitment and love for each other and our Savior. I lost my dear Mother this year but will be forever grateful for the blessings of true Gospel of Jesus Christ that she has brought to generations through her choice to join and live the Gospel in perfect faith. She has left a legacy of love and we look forward to the day when we are all reunited as a family...forever!

How I live my faith

I serve in any capacity that I am called to. I have served with the young children in the Nursery and Primary age (3-11). I have enjoyed working with the scouts and with the youth as a Sunday school teacher and with the Young Women and as a visiting teacher. I enjoy working with the schools and am involved in education with my profession. I work with a global online school that helps give more options for parents when it comes to educating their children. I enjoy working with children with special needs and as I have a nephew with autism, I am involved with various promotions for a cure and awareness for this disease. I love the Temple and go as often as I can and encourage all to strive for the the blessings and peace found there! I am a mother of 5, three daughters and 2 sons and love every minute of it!! I love being a Mother, a wife, an Aunt and a sister and have found the most joy within the walls of my own home with my family. I try to live my life each day as my Mother would...holding nothing back in the service of the Lord and have found that even still...I am forever in His debt. Life is hard. Life is beautiful! Life is LOVE and that is what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches. I have a testimony of it's truthfulness and that the only way to find true happiness in this life and in the life to come it by living it's teachings. To this I can personally testify!

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We revere him as a Prophet called of God in this time to restore the original and true Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth once again. Our worship is reserved for our Heavenly Father and His beloved son, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
