Hi I'm Emily

I love acting, the color yellow, and Sign Language. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior in high school, and I have recently come back from my second visit to the Fiji islands. I love to travel! I enjoy; acting, reading, and watching movies, the color yellow, and Harry Potter. I have been in quite a few plays including The Miracle Worker and Alice in Wonderland. I like listening to Michael Buble music, and if not that then Disney tunes. I strive to one day become a certified Sign Language instructor or interpreter, and I am very interested in the Deaf culture. I love my family and hanging out with them, they make me laugh, and we always have the best times together.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, and I was baptized when I was eight. Although some might think I am a member because I was born into this religion, which is not true. It has been my choice to be a member, and I have found out for myself that I believe it all to be true. I love being a Mormon, the gospel gives me hope and knowledge that makes me happy. I enjoy the standards that I live and I am glad that they are there to guide me. Being a Mormon can sometimes be hard, but it is always very rewarding and a learning experience. The gospel of Jesus Christ has made me who I am today, and has affected me beyond measure.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to activities that the church offers, such as early morning seminary that starts at 6:55. I go to learn and feel the spirit and I enjoy doing so, it is great to begin my day with the scriptures and lessons that I can use throughout the day. I am the president of the young women in my ward, I love this because I can help the younger girls with anything they need and get to become their friend. It teaches me about leadership and how to work in a Presidency, as well as communication and patience. One of the easiest ways that I live my faith is by being an example for good where ever I go. Whether it is for my younger sister, or my friends, I always try to live my best and act kindly to others.
