Hi I'm Jon

I work hard for my family, and enjoy every moment with them. I'm a Firefighter, I'm Canadian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 29, have a beautiful wife and a daughter, and live in Everett. I work for a private ambulance company and volunteer as a Firefighter. I work hard to keep my community safe, and put food on my table. I also strive to keep my family happy. For fun I play Ice Hockey, and Ride my Suzuki V-Strom motorcycle. With the family we go Ice skating, go to the beach (in the summer) and love to go to the zoo and aquarium.

Why I am a Mormon

It all started when I met this girl... or should I say THE girl of my dreams. She was mormon, I was not. She told me after dating for a while that she wanted me to take the discussions so I could learn about where her beliefs and decisions were coming from. I told her I would. but would not convert. She said that was okay, but to keep my heart open and actually listen to what the missionaries had to say. After the second lesson, I KNEW this was right and needed to be baptized! Since then, my family, (who are not mormon), continue to support me, because they know it makes me happy. They have also been to church a couple of times!

How I live my faith

I have helped with the planning and organizing of some of the church bbq's as well as worked with the youth. both of these I have done with great joy, and have felt great happieness when doing them.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Our lifestyle is about the same as everyone else. We go to work, spend time with our families, play with our friends, watch TV, play video games, cook, clean, and almost anything else you can think of. We go to church every Sunday, say blessings (prayers) before every meal, and before going to bed. I play hockey, and my daughter does as well. Some Mormons are even professional athletes!
