Hi I'm Aric

I'm an ER Technician, I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a lovely wife and five wonderful children. I have a degree in accounting, but currently work in an Emergency Room while trying to get into school to be a Physician Assistant. My wife and I love the outdoors and love sharing that passion with our children. Our favorite activities are backpacking, visiting the national parks, and rock climbing. I finally obtained one of my life's goals this summer by climbing Mt Rainier, it was incredible. I am now training to do some triathlons, I hope to be able to do a half ironman in the next two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! I can't comprehend what life would be like not being able to answer the most basic questions of where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going when we die. What a blessing it is to live in a day where we again have the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, again having true Prophets who can speak the Word of God. No longer do we have to dispute over the points of the doctrine of Jesus Christ. Understanding the Gospel helps me to overcome the trials that are placed in my life. Time after time, my prayers have been answered, I know God loves me and watches over me and my family. The Book of Mormon has been a great blessing my life. It is wonderful to have another testament of Jesus Christ, a record of God's dealing with a group of people in another part of the world. How great it is to know that God truly loves all his children and is no respecter of people, even the people of ancient America were blessed to have prophets so they could also know Christ. Knowing this helps me to know that He loves me too, he wants me to return to Him, and he will help me do that by offering scriptures, modern day prophets, and personal revelations so I can know how I should live my life. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that along with the Bible, anyone can also know these wonderful truths, and I know that today, we have a Prophet of God that talks to God and knows His desires for all His children.

How I live my faith

I am having a lot of fun right now with my involvement in the church. On Sunday's, I help teach some of the youth in the area. During the weak, I work with that same set of kids in the Boy Scouts program, learning needed skills, providing service to the community, and having fun. I have a great love and respect for the outdoors, so this is a great opportunity for me to share the beauty of the outdoors with other people. I am currently training to be an instructor for a COPE course, COPE stands for "challenging outdoor personal experience" they used to be called ropes courses. With that training I hope to be able to take the youth that I work and other people in the community , offering them the ability to build their confidence, increase their problem building skills, and help them to have better teamwork skills.
