Hi I'm Jeanie

I'm a mother and grandmother. I live in Washington State. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to knit, read, swim, bike, hike, and spend time with my family. My husband and I have a combined family of 11 children (one deceased) and 23 grandchildren (and still growing). I love to take road trips and discovering new places by becoming lost on a road I've never taken before. My latest adventure has been serving a two-year mission with my husband in St. Petersburg Russia. I enjoy life everyday because it's exciting to learn and discover the world and everything in it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied and prayed to know that the Book of Mormon has been given to the world by God through the Prophet Joseph Smith as another testament of His son Jesus Christ. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ has taught me to know where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going after this life. This knowledge has brought much comfort and strength throughout many trials in my life. I know that the trials in my life have been for my personal growth and by trusting in God I have learned more compassion, empathy, love, and patience towards others and myself. I know all things are possible when we put our complete trust in God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others whenever possible. I have taught Sunday School classes for adults and children, visit other sisters in our ward and help them when they need it. For two years my husband and I planned and coordinated Christmas dinner for approximately 300 people in our ward. Our mission in Russia has thus far been the most challenging, but most rewarding service yet performed. I love giving hugs and smiles to all those I come in contact with. I believe the greatest way to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ is by being a good example and living my life as Jesus teaches us to do in the scriptures.
