Hi I'm David

I was born and raised in Texas. I have served in the US Navy and am an attorney. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four daughters and one son. We have 15 grandchildren, with one more arriving in November. I am a lawyer and enjoy a business practice. I like reading, baseball and sight seeing in the States. I long to go to Australia.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Mormon church before I was born. They raised their family in an area of Texas that did not have many Mormons. They were true to their new faith and instilled in their children an understanding of Jesus Christ and what he did for everyone. After seeing their example and listening carefully to the Mormon teachings, I sought my own testimony of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I did this through study and prayer and service to others. I know that Jesus Christ restored HIs church through Joseph Smith and that Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I serve as a counselor to the Bishop of our local congregation (ward). We administer to the needs of the individuals in the ward, insuring that the Sunday classes are properly staffed and taught, organize and support the youth organizations, and look after the welfare of those in need. We supervise the service projects of the ward to benefit the community and encourage social activities for the members.
