Hi I'm Danny

I'm adopted, I have a large family, I love life...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I was born on the Marshall Islands. I was adopted when I was seven. I was brought to the U.S. and into a brand new environment. I love to play sports. Particularly baseball. I have played this sport ever since I was a little kid. I love to play other sports as well. I love basketball, football, volleyball, pretty much anything that involves a ball and people. I love to talk to people and make friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that America is truly a place where all who come here are brought by the hand of God. We see it throughout history. Every great story of someone that wanted or needed to come here was made possible by a loving God. This is how I feel of how I came here. There is a story that my mother always told me of how she was able to find me. I love my mom and I believe that she is great woman. She is great not only because she is a loves everyone, but also because she has a great love for God, and I know that God's Spirit is with her everyday. So, she and my dad went to the adoption agency and they gave them a list of names and birthdays to choose from. They carefully looked over the list, and as I picture in my mind my mom's hand slowly going down to my name, I always picture another hand that stops her hand right on my name. She always told me that she felt something, a good feeling come over her when she saw my name. I know the Spirit of the Lord was with her that day and she was able to find me. Through the years I have seen and felt that the teachings of this gospel are true. I know that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me as well as all His children. I know He has blessed us with the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that we can learn and grow with our families. The Lords tender mercies are all around us. I have been blessed to see them in my life and I continue to do so and for that I am truly grateful.

How I live my faith

I have had the blessing of being raised in this church. I have been taught lessons and values that help me improve and become better. In this church we have a big focus on service because that is how the Saviour lived his life. I have been taught to always look for opportunities to serve everyone I come in contact with. In Utah it snows a pretty good amount. I lived in a community of older people. It is a pain to watch them shovel their walks. So my brothers and I would always go and shovel all the driveways. Just little acts of kindness can do alot, not only for the person I serve but also for me.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Danny
You increase your faith through excercising it day by day. Read the scriptures and apply the teachings you learn to your life. Obey the commandments and always strive to learn from them to improve and become better. Pray continuosly and sincerely everyday to have more strength and faith in your Saviour. Faith has to parts to it. First, it is a belief in something you cannot see. You can't see Jesus Christ but you can know he is there by living his Gospel. Second, it is an action word. Act by following the first principles and ordinances of HIs Gospel which are faith, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. When you follow these simple teachings your faith in Jesus Christ will increase and your love for his Atonement will be stronger. Show more Show less
