Hi I'm Trevor

I Fly Airplanes, Ski down Mountians and Scuba Dive. I Remodel homes and raise 5 amazing children. I love my Wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

You can say I like to know as much about everything as possible; Boy Scouts taught me to try my hand at the unknown, and through my live thus far, I have done just that. College, time living abroad, flight school and Marriage to my best friend; have brought me to the best stage of my life. My wife encouraged me to follow one of my life dreams of becoming an airline pilot. While working hard to make that dream possible I made a living being Mr. Fix-it for everyone I knew. Sept. 11th came along and with it the realization that my dream was not a reality. So, I decided to let one dream go by to make room for 5 others to enter my life. I am so grateful for that change looking back; it has allowed me to live where I want and to take the knowledge I learned as a handyman for so many years and create a business where I get to see the fruits of my labor on a daily basis. Asked today if I would drop everything to go fly jets; not on your life. There is nothing better than a hug and a kiss from my kids every night before bed!

Why I am a Mormon

Yep, like many others, I was born into a family who were Mormons, generations in fact. I like to think I am Lucky on one hand and downright blessed on the other. I have seen friends learn about the church and make small changes that improved their lives beyond what you can see. The teachings of Jesus Christ have kept my mind clear when all else was not, and have guided me through easy and tough times alike. Do most people know I am Mormon? Yes, mostly because I bring it up, sometimes because they ask and even other times they knew before we met. Either way, they know I am a little different: no Coffee, no Beer and still a lot of fun. The question I would pose is...Why not be a Mormon? My kid's respect their mother, love Jesus Christ and know that God is looking out for them wherever they may be or in whatever they are doing. This makes my life/job so much easier!

How I live my faith

The most important way I can live my Religion is to actually live it. I go to church each Sunday, not to sit there and be a statue, but to participate and learn how I can be a better man, Husband and Father. As i do this, I can be of help to others of my similar age. What goes on Sunday must also go on during the rest of the week: I put Family and God at the forefront of my daily activities. Am I a Fuddy-duddy for reading the scriptures each day? Am I lame for coaching many of my kid's sports teams? Is it crazy that I want to sit and have dinner with my family every night if possible? I say No! My kid's know they are on top of my list with their mom at the pinnacle. I try to live the way Christ would have me...sometimes failures are inevitable; thank goodness for our savior and repentance.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Trevor
Some think it is hard to be a member of a society style church...everyone who wants to, can and does participate and help in some way. Aside from in the home, each member of the church has a responsibility to others around them by teaching or visiting or planning some aspect of the organization. None of us are paid to do anything in our chapels on any level, so what you put into it, you get out of it! The same goes for your Family and Firendships. We want everyone to feel excited about their Savior and have to desire to live as he did. Show more Show less
