Hi I'm Helen

I was born in Murray, Utah. I moved to California, when I was 6 years old. I grew up in the Bay Area. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother, sister, and grandmother. I love art. I can draw anything. I love to sew and design things. At this time I am designing jewelry. I am raising 2 grandchildren. They keep me young. I have 4 children that are grown.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have been born and raised in this church. I have studied and prayed about this church to know if it is true. I have found my answer and know without a doubt this is the Church of Jesus Christ of latterday Saints. I have found the Book of Mormon to be true and this book works hand in hand with the Bible. What a blessing it is to have another Testiment of Christ. I know the Lord would not leave us hanging with out any help. I have the Holy Ghost to be my comforter. He is my constant companion. I know Jesus is the Christ. We have a prophet today who works in Christ name and with 12 apostles. The Church is true. It is as it was in the days of Adam, Moses, and on through the prophets to Christ. The church was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith, continueing on to today. Christ is at the helm of the Church. I so testify in his name.

How I live my faith

Because of this gospel I have grown as an adult doing many things I would not have believed I could do. I have dexlexia and with the help of the Lord and Preisthood blessing I have been able to Teach Seminary. I didn't want to give it up. I read better than I have my whole life. I had better comprehention. I loved feeling the Spirti as I taught. I have learned to play the Organ and the piano. It is so fun to play for the Children as they sing their Primary songs. I have been in many plays. Through the Relief Society I have grown as a public speaker. I have been educated. I have had the oportunity to serve other Sisters. I have worked in the community. We have made school kits for the needy. We have made diappers for babies, quilts, weeding school grounds and kits for disasters. At the moment I am a Sunday school teacher for 14 and 15 year olds. I love this calling. I love to hear how they stand up for what they believe in, in a world where this is not the norm. They are wonderful youth and inspiring to me.
