Hi I'm Kaleena Shreeve

I'm living my dream...being a wife and mother and author. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am first and foremost a daughter of God. I have a personal relationship with God I nurture everyday; for it is the most important thing to me. I am married to a wonderful man and we have a beautiful family of daughters. I always wanted to be a mom when I grew up and God answered that dream for me. More recently I found that my very active imagination is put to good use writing. I have started three books and have yet to finish one. Writing is my outlet and one of the most fun things I love to do. Let's not forget girlfriends. Where would we women be without the righteous influence of other women. I think going to church and building true friendships based on love and service has brought me a happiness I would have not been able to find anywhere else.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I feel has been one of the greatest gifts from God. My deep conversion and love for Christ and Heavenly Father has come from within. I need not go anywhere but to God and his words for the answer to any problem I have. I have felt the love of God with me everyday of my life. Though I sin, I know that Christ can wash me clean, and that he wants to. He wants me to be with him. Oh what joy my souls sings knowing that truth. Why am I a Mormon? Because I know truth. I know God. And I know I can live with him in heaven. There is no other way, but by him. The spirit of the Lord tells my heart this is true and knowing this brings me happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving of myself. It's hard at first. Meeting new people; teaching kids sign language when I don't know it myself; calling a woman I've never met and asking her if I can come visit; learning how to do family history work; leading the music; teaching a lesson to adults or to rambunctious children. I just thought the other day how I don't think I'd really know myself if I hadn't done all these things (and more), if I wasn't a member of this church. I feel like God has given me a gift that has come in the form of: first work and faith and then the special surprise after. I know that sounds kind of cheesy, but I also know that the best rewards in life come after the most diligent work. And God has been very generous in pouring out blessings to me every time I've fulfilled a calling to serve him.
