Hi I'm Roger

Hi, I am Roger I grew up in a small rural southern Utah town of Fillmore. I'm a college graduate and we own a business.

About Me

I am 70 years old and I'm very excited about being married and having six wonderful children, three boys and three girls. I've been married for over 41 years to the same lovely, beautiful wife. We share many common interests of education, family travel, and our family business. I look forward everyday going to work and enjoying the people that I work with. Our business is part of the semiconductor industry, which is the heart of all computers. My wife and I have a goal of traveling to over a 120 temples and to-date we have travelled to approximately 60 temples and have found what a great country and world we live in from these experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 years old I joined the church so I could be a boy scout. My family were not members of the church, and after I completed my boy scout training I dropped out of the church. When I was about 21 years old I had to defend the principles of the gospel. This happened at the Nevada Test Site in the underground mountain tunnels used to detonate Nuclear Bombs. My testimony grew to where I could defend my religion and this set the groundwork for the rest of my life. I then knew I had to marry a member of the LDS Church in the temple for Time and Eternity. It also gave me the motivation to complete my college training at BYU in Provo, Utah. A few years later I met my wife and we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. I feel very blessed to have the church as my North Star for guiding our children through the early years of their life. They have all gone to the temple and experienced the joys only the Temple can offer.

How I live my faith

Over the years I've had the opportunity to serve the community and our church in helping people find employment and upgrade their existing careers. I have had the great pleasure of helping hundreds if not thousands of people in the church and the community. These acts of service were at no cost to members or the community. This gave me a great deal of personal satisfaction. Through the spirit we developed a program that is very successful. Many callings have come my way and in the process this gave me the opportunity to develop and grow as an individual. Leadership training was a great blessing to me and my family. One of the greatest blessings in my life has been the ability to serve at the Lord's temple in Mesa, Arizona.
