Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I have grown up in Arizona all of my life.

About Me

I received a Bachelor's degree in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University. I am a mother of a little boy and a little girl and absolutely LOVE being a mother and wife. I enjoy all the time that I can spend with family. I am striving to stay motivated with exercising and love eating good food. I enjoy watching shows such as Leave it to Beaver and House Hunters.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I learned from a very age that I have a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior Jesus Christ who love me very much and that they are real and distinct beings. I learned about the man and prophet Joseph Smith. I was taught and later received a testimony (knowledge confirmed by very distinct impressions from the Holy Ghost) that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in a vision and saw for himself that they were made of flesh and bone just like us. I further have a testimony that Jesus lived a perfect life while on earth, suffered for all that we will suffer while on earth in the Garden of Gethsemane, was crucified on the cross, and was resurrected (His Spirit reunited with His physical body) three days later. I testify that we too will be resurrected. This knowledge gives me such hope. This makes me want to be as good as I can be here on earth knowing that I will continue to live after this life. I want to and know I can live with God the Father and Jesus Christ again if I live as good as possible. I know that because of Jesus's Atonement for me sins, I can become clean after I truly repent and forsake my sins each day. I am so grateful I can live with my loved ones again in the next life because of the resurrection and Atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I recently started serving in the women's organization in our church (referred to as the Relief Society). I have the opportunity to do the secretarial work.
