Hi I'm Chris Tuttle

I play hockey, guitar, and ping pong. I love trucks, sports, and turtles. I speak Spanish. I'm a servant of the Lord. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Before becoming a full-time representative of the Lord there were a lot of different things that took up my time. Most of all I loved playing sports. I played hockey and golf competitively growing up and when I went to college, I payed for BYU's hockey team. I also love just about any type of music and if you put a guitar in my hand I probably won't be able to concentrate on anything else for a while. Some other things I like to do are offroading (ATV's, dirt bikes, trucks, anything), other sports (basketball, skiing, running, and especially table tennis :), and above everything else spending time with family and friends. The people that mean the most to me in life are my biggest motivation for everything I do. I could ramble on for awhile about other things, but I'm not a huge fan of talking about myself. Hopefully this helped you to know me a little bit.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm not sure where to begin. I have a pretty awesome family and I remember us being sealed in the Chicago Temple when I was 3. I grew up in the church, progressed through primary and the Arronic Priesthood, and was able to attend the ever so sweet 6am seminary when I entered high school, but the real reason why I'm a converted member to the Church of Jesus Christ is because of the experiences I've had that have built my faith. I wasn't always the most obedient kid growing up and even though a good portion of my family had been very good examples of the Gospel, I often did what I wanted instead of what the Lord would have me do. When I was 16 my best friend, Adam Litteken, passed away at one of our hockey practices and I was mad for a long time. As time passed, something in me began to change. I began to search for answers about the purpose of life, to change a lot of the things I was doing wrong, and to gain a real testimony of everything that had been around me. Above everything else, I gained a testimony of the Atonement of my Savior Jesus Christ, that He truly did suffer every pain, affliction, and sorrow that we would encounter in life, and that we can find comfort through Him and His restored Gospel. As I began to apply Gospel Principles to my life for the first time, a new light and happiness came that I had never experienced. I am so grateful for everything the Lord has helped me with and that His Church is on the earth today to help lead and guide me. I am grateful for the Plan of Salvation and Happiness that our Heavenly Father has created for us, so we can live with our loved ones for ever. To me that is everything. I have felt the love of both my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ tremendously and will always be in their dept.

How I live my faith

At the current time I am serving a full-time mission in Mesa, Arizona. I'm trying my best to learn Spanish and become the person that the Lord would have me be. "Trying" is the key word. No one is perfect, but we can try. Above all, I'm trying to help others come unto Christ and experience that same joy and happiness I've found. After the mission I plan to go back to regular life, study, work, hobbies, friends, family, etc, but I want to always be an example of my Savior Jesus Christ, His Church, and who knows maybe be that light or help someone is looking for. I always want to "try" to do what's right, what the Lord would have me do, and help others on my way.
