Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho. I am a wife, a Mom and and a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read the scriptures. I love to go to church. I love to be in the Temple. I love to be with my family. We have 4 married children with wonderful spouses and 19 amazing grandchildren. It is the BEST day when I have spent time with my children and grandchildren. When we get together for dinners, Birthday parties, baptisms, baby blessings or Holidays, I look around and my heart just fills with such love for these wonderful individuals that bring such joy into my life. All of our children and grandchildren live within 18 miles of our home so I spend my days running from family to family helping where I can. There is nothing more wonderful than walking into my children’s homes and having grandchildren run to me, throw their arms around my legs and say, “Grandma, I love you”. Believe me when I say: “That is what this life is all about”. I know that through our Savior and only through Him, I have the opportunity and the blessing to be with those I love eternally.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was taught at a very young age about Jesus Christ. I was taught that He is the literal Son of our Heavenly Father and that through His grace and our sincere repentance we can live with Him again. My family means everything to me and I receive such hope and peace in my life knowing that because our Heavenly Father and our Savior loves us we can be a family eternally. One of the hardest experiences in my life has been seeing those that I love with all of my heart pass. I feel such a profound loss in my life but I feel such comfort and peace knowing that my loved ones are safely home and that if I live a good life, serve others and try to be more like the Savior in my thoughts and actions I will be with my dear ones again. I know the Savior lives. I know He atoned for all mankind in the Garden of Gethsemane, that he died on the cross and that He was resurrected. I am a Mormon and I am happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving each day to be a good citizen of this wonderful country I live in. I try to be a good neighbor and friend. I look for ways to serve in my neighborhood and in my church. I build relationships with ladies in my area so that they will feel comfortable calling me in a time of need. Currently I have the great opportunity to plan events for the ladies within my area who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and we always invite our neighbors and friends to these events. I have the blessing of being able to help with humanitarian service and community service in our area and to support Boy Scout Eagle projects in providing packages for our wonderful servicemen and women. I also have the opportunity to help clean our church building and I love watching the young parents teaching their children to love and take care of the building. I am always so grateful for any service that I can be involved in. I always receive much more from the opportunity than I give. Life is a gift and I love my life.
