Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a gamer, roleplayer, and a fan of many things. I struggle with aspergers, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I play Dungeons and Dragons, rock climb, and LOVE to read. I've lived across China, Malaysia, Germany, and numerous other places within the US. I'm currently serving a mission in Irvine, California. I continually struggle with aspergers syndrome, but do my best to try and overcome it. I try to help those in need, and try to be a good person to every one I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have always been a member and will continue to be a member. I have learned for my self that this gospel is true and that the teachings in it are good, the church has really helped me in some of my darkest times, and always has been there to pick me up when I am convinced that I have no value. It has taught me that I am a child of god, and because of that I will never be alone, nor will I ever need to wonder why I am here.

How I live my faith

I always help out people in my community, especially when people are moving in, or they need help. Every community service project that has been announced in church, I have always volunteered for.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jordan
In short: yes In long: The bible is just a much the word of god as the Book of Mormon, it was written by prophets to give us the knowledge we need today, we can read it learn from it, and let it help us in our lives. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Jordan
Even though I am currently serving a mission, I have never felt that it was a requirement. The only real pressure to go comes from your self. My entire life I have seen missionaries and heard returned ones speaks about what they considered the "best two years of my life". In the end, the one who will always decide if you need to go is you.
