Hi I'm Drew

I'm a normal guy from Arizona who loves sports, my family and the Savior Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Personally I am married to the woman of my dreams. I enjoy cooking and consuming the results of that cooking, I also enjoy sports, movie and all the normal things you may expect. Professionally I am a man of science. I am just about to graduate from Pharmacy School, a profession I chose because it encompasses an interface between science and people's everyday life. A lot of people think there is an implied disconnect between being a man of science and a man of faith. I couldn't disagree more. Learning about science has increased my faith in the Saviors plan for all of his children.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion is about as run of the mill as anything else. However, it happened in the exact way that Jesus Christ promised it would happen, by small and simple things and by doing his will or in other words by living the commandments and seeing seeing how blessed my life has become. It's the consistent daily decisions to follow His will that in turn has become an undoubted testimony.

How I live my faith

I teach a group of high school students each Sunday about the scriptures. I try to focus on how the stories and teachings of the Saviors applies to the life of a modern day high school student just as much as it did to the people from back then. I also live in a big city where I get the opportunity to stand by my convictions and faith daily and hopefully set a good example for others to see. Faith is not a Sunday thing, it is an everyday thing and by living my faith everyday I feel the Saviors presence more in my life, guiding and protecting me in a crazy world.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Christ meant for His doctrine to be taught to all His children, in every time and place. The church He established is how He wants that doctrine disseminated to His children. That church was organized with 12 apostles, therefore having 12 apostles to run the church is just as essential now as it was then. Show more Show less
