Hi I'm Kim

I'm a happy person. I teach singing and direct musicals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Los Angeles and went to a High School for the Arts. I've always loved music and theatre! I love teaching others to sing to find that wonderful joy that comes from making music. I have five children that I adore. Teaching and helping them manage their lives keeps me happily busy. From teaching them to read, to tying shoes, to playing the piano, to sorting laundry; my goal is to help my kids become the best people they can be. I coach my daughter's soccer team and perform theatrical readings in my kids various classrooms. One of my favorite passtimes is directing theatre. It is a delight! Maybe you have seen me roller blading in the neighborhood! I love that too!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that following the teachings of the Savior leads me to happy choices. I love interacting with other followers of Christ, as it strengthens me to be my best. I am a Mormon, because living the gospel means joy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking for the chance to make someone's day easier. One time I was walking through a grocery store and I heard the wails of a new little baby. I quickly remembered how many times I had tried to shop under the same difficult conditions of entertaining little ones, while trying to pick up produce. The crying of the infant persisted for several minutes, and I finally found the mom and her toddler frantically trying to fill her cart and calm her baby. I stopped and offered to hold her little one while she shopped in that same little area. I told her that I had five of my own and I knew how difficult this could be. My youngest was with me and the mother consented to let me hold her baby. I gently rocked and soothed and the tiny baby quieted down, while the mother was able to get her few things together. It only took a few minutes of time, but I think it is the little things that make life wonderful. I look for ways to make people smile! It always has a mutually beneficial effect. In making others happy, I can't help but feel happy myself. One of my favorite faith promoting projects is working with a youth choir that is 378 people strong. We meet together twice month and together we create some powerful music!
