Hi I'm Diane

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and a cancer survivor. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a wife, mother of six, grandmother of eleven, and a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with cancer when I was 18 months old and my parents were told I would not live. I survived and feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to be a wife, mother and grandmother. I was able to stay home when my children were young and then taught school for thirteen years. I love being with my family! I enjoy music, cooking, hiking, teaching and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born, my parents were members of the Mormon church. As I grew, I always had good feelings about the church and felt the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for me. I knew I was a daughter of God. My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ seemed to come naturally as I tried to do what was right. The first time I read The Book of Mormon from cover to cover, I prayed to know if it was indeed a true book. I received a warm, good feeling about that book and a personal confirmation it was true. Although I was born into a Mormon family, I have discovered for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored to the earth and we have living prophets and apostles who receive current revelation. I know I have the potential to return and live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ if I choose to do what is right, repent of my sins and strive to live worthy of that blessing. The opportunity to return and live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ gives purpose and direction to my life.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is an integral part of my life. It has helped me become the person I am today. I have served in various callings or responsibilities in the church throughout my life. I have worked with children, youth and adults. Each responsibility has blessed me and helped me grow in many ways. When I serve others, I feel close to them and to our Savior Jesus Christ. I enjoy watching the gospel of Jesus Christ change lives in a positive way. Each day, as I sincerely pray and ponder the scriptures and the words of our prophets, my heart is filled with a deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ and what He has done for me. I have learned that my life is greatly blessed as I rely on the Savior to help me.
