Hi I'm Amy

I'm a busy mom and I love it! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend and a mother of six. I love kids. I like the outdoors, hiking, biking, and camping. I am also a lover of musicals and theater. I am the oldest of 4 brothers and one sister. I recently had a brother pass away tragically and unexpectedly. It hasn't been easy for me but I know that it has strengthened my testimony of the Savior and my love for His gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because my life experiences have only strengthened my belief in what I was taught as a child. It feels right in my heart. I know that I am a Child of a loving Father in Heaven. He is my God. He loves me and wants me to be happy. That doesn't mean that life is easy. I know that I am here to grow and learn and make mistakes and try harder. I know that God sent his son Jesus Christ to show us how to live and when I try to follow him I am happy. When I make mistakes I know that I can repent. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ died for me to take away the pain of sin. He also died to take away the pain of death and heartache that comes with life. I know that when my brother died I felt that pain go away as I prayed for help. I have read the Book of Mormon. I know that it testifies of Christ. As I study the stories of Jesus in the Bible and the Book of Mormon I learn more of him and how I should live. It make sense to me that just like Bible times we have a prophet on the earth today that recieves inspiration for Christs church. When Christ lived on the earth he had 12 apostles. The Church today is patterned after this priesthood. I feel comfort in this and I believe that the power of God on the earth today can make miricles happen. When I listen to the words of the prophet It blesses my life and I feel happy. I feel a strong sense of family and that is one of the happiest things about the gospel. I believe that we are all brothers and sisters in an eternal family. We have been sent here to earth in families to help eachother. Knowing that I can live with my family agian some day brings me joy and hope. All of these things I know because of the spirit I feel when I exercise these truths.

How I live my faith

I try to follow Christ. I seek inspiration to do what he would want me to do. In our family we try to teach our children to follow Christ by praying together, reading scriptures, giving service, and teaching them to love everyone. At church I get to be a part of a great organization of women. Our porpose is to increase faith and personal rightousness, strengthen homes and families, and help those in need. I get to organize lessons on Sunday and activities durring the week to fulfill these purposes. I also organize and assign other ladies to visit and share a spiritual message with other ladies. This helps us to know if anyone is in need so we can provide service. Service blesses everyone involved. I learn and grow so much by serving in the church.
