Hi I'm Joie

I grew up in Las Vegas. I love to sing. I am a mother of 6 Children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing, it's probably my most favorite thing to do. I also like to cross-stich, scrapbook, although I don't do it much right now. I went to school for Nails, and worked in a salon for a number of years, but now I get to stay home and take care of my kids and husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, so I got to experience the workings of the church first hand my entire life. I find that an immense blessing. A parents decision to be a member of the church can only take a child so far. I think I have always known the church to be true. I didn't always live it. As a teenager I struggled between the knowledge that I was a daughter of my heavenly father, and the lure of the adversary, but around the age of 18, I decided I needed to know for sure if I should live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I started attending church institute classes, and gained my testimony of the Savior by learning everything I could. I read the Book of Mormon, and joined the institute choir. My testimony didn't come as a crash of lightning, but as if I was remembering something I already knew. As I continue to live what I know to be true my testimony only increases. I met my wonderful companion at the institute, and we have 6 beautiful children. I can't imagine my life without the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It brings a spirit to my home that only the Savior could bring.

How I live my faith

The best thing I do on the Church is serve the youth. I am in charge of the Cub Scout organization in my ward. What a blessing it has been in my life. I get to see these wonderful boys grow up and assist in teaching them things they will use throughout their life. I have grown to love the boys I serve, and the other leaders that teach the boys. I have learned from them as well. Patience and love are probably the key things I have been learning over the past 3 years. I also sing in the ward choir, which helps me feel the spirit of Christ.
