Hi I'm Dustin

I am a father of three little girls, a husband of nine years, and I work full-time in HR for the Idaho Army National Guard.

About Me

I have been a Mormon my entire life but really became converted when I decided to serve a two-year mission in the Philippines in 1999. When I got home, a good friend of mine was interested in the church so I helped her investigate it and she was baptized. We then started dating and a year later, we were married in the Columbia River (Washington) Temple. We have three little girls now and I work for the National Guard. I lost my job a little over a year ago and enlisted to find a new career path and I am happy with where we are in life now. Sometimes life gives you struggles and it's hard to bounce back from it at the time, but I believe that as long as we work hard and do the right thing, it will all work out. I enjoy music, usually rock, punk, or indie genres. I also spend my free time watching television, movies, or playing computer games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and my parents took me when I was a child, but now that I'm an adult, I choose to continue to be active in the church because of the stability it gives me in my life. Knowing that God has a plan for me and knowing that He wants me to be happy gives me the confidence to do the right thing and know that I will be blessed with happiness. I am also glad that I can raise my children in the church because it helps teach them spirituality and the importance of family.

How I live my faith

I think beyond the things I do to help with our ward, the major way I live my faith is by being an example to those around me. I make sure that everyone I interact with knows that I'm a Mormon and then I work hard to make sure I live up to that in everything I do. I represent my church and want others to see how happy it makes me in my life.
