Hi I'm Nickelle

I'm a single adult. I have a degree in English Lit. I'm the oldest of six kids. I love my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am single and 28 years old. I have a bachelor's degree in English Literature. I absolutely love reading and spending time with my friends and family. I love almost anything that has to do with technology. I probably spend too much time watching TV... or I did. I'm currently serving a full time mission for the church in Roseville, California, so I don't watch TV anymore. But I'm loving it. And I'm also looking forward to returning home to be with my family again. Some of my favorite things are long naps on Sundays and long road trips with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's the only way to be. I've done a lot of research in other faiths and found out for myself that God's church that was on the earth anciently (as we find in the Old and New Testaments) doesn't exist anywhere on the earth but in the LDS faith. We're organized the same way, and by the same power, as the original church established by Christ. I'm a Mormon because living this way helps me to be better.

How I live my faith

For most of my life, living as a Mormon means, for me, that I try to live the lifestyle that I believe that Christ would want me to live. I attend church every week, and I help where ever I'm needed. Our church doesn't have paid clergy, so we all pitch in. I've helped most often in the women's orginization of our church, as a leader or activity organizer. Currently, I'm taking a break from regular life and serving a full time mission in the California Roseville Mission. I spend 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, in serving the people in this area and teaching them the gospel. It's the best and hardest thing I've ever done. I've learned a lot about God's love for me and for each of His children, regardless of who they are, or what I think of them. After my mission, I'll go back to living my life as He would want me to. I'll attend church every week, participate in service opportunities, and continue to try to be more like Him every day.
