Hi I'm Laurel

I've done years of volunteer work in Mexico. I'm a stay at home mom. I'm a music teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For as long as I can remember when grown-ups asked me what I wanted to be I had two answers: To be a music teacher and to be a stay-at-home mom. I have been blessed to have both wished granted. What I had never dreamed was that my husband would be employed by various companies in Mexico for most of our marriage. I was given the opportunity to volunteer my time in the schools, community and local LDS congregations. My family also was privlidged to learn and participate in the local customs, language and activities.

Why I am a Mormon

All that I am is connected to God and what he has given me. The church gives me the keys to unlock the doors to what He expects of me and what blessings are waiting. I love that the church is so supportive of families, education and service to others.

How I live my faith

I love to work with the kids. I've spent years working with the teenage girls and currently I help organize activities for the 8-11 year old girls. It's so much fun to play, sing and work with young people, I almost forget that I'm not one of them! I also enjoy participating in the music of services and special events. I'm never more at home than when singing or sitting behind a piano.
