Hi I'm Cameron

I grew up in Idaho. I love sports. I love serving the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho and loved it. I spent most of my time playing sports with my friends and spending time with my family. Some of the most memorable experiences I have had are those spent with my family. I am serving a mission right now in the United States and hope to be able to continue to bless the lives of others. I am in college right now preparing for my future. Not sure exactly what it has in store but I know it will all work our as I rely on the Lord. I love watching college football and basketball as well as the NBA. I try to treat others well and be an example of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel very fortunate to have been blessed to grow up a Mormon. My family has done a lot for me to show me the way and lead me to do what I need in order to find my own testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and of His Restored Gospel. They have always been there for me and have been great examples to me. Even though I have had the great influence from my family to live the teaching of Christ, it has still been my choice to follow the LDS faith. I want to be as close to the Savior as possible and I feel that is best accomplished by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints following its teachings. I know that the our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and as a result of that their church is once again on the earth today. God has called a prophet of God to the earth today! Every time I hear his words I feel my Savior's love and I know that I can apply the things I am taught and can please Him. I have come to know this through my prayers being answered by a witness of the Holy Ghost letting me know and confirming the truths that I already know deep down inside.

How I live my faith

I try to do all that I can to live my faith each day of the week and not just on Sunday. I feel that my scripture study is a great aid in helping me do this. I have seen that as I do so, my testimony is always increasing despite trying times. This testimony leads me to be better and to try and share my light and knowledge with those around me. One of my deepest desires is stated best by the prophet Alma when he counsels us to, "stand as a witness of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even unto death."

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is done by taking steps to show the Lord that you are ready to follow Him. Some of these steps are promising to keep His commandments and preparing yourself spiritually by making any needed changes. One of the best ways to do this is by meeting with missionaries who are called of God to be there to help you along in this process. They will help you come closer to God through their teachings and help you to recognize the spirit of the Lord in your own life and how it effects you. Once you are ready and have done these things, you can then follow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized by one who holds the proper authority and then receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mormons definitely don't worship Joseph Smith. We believe in modern day prophets and their purpose is to testify of Christ. Joseph Smith was one of these prophets who was called by God to restore His church once again just like it was when He, Christ, was on the earth. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is to go out on an limb and put your trust in someone or something in which you can't see. Most of the time faith is talked about in religion as having faith in Christ. Faith that he will take care of us, guide us, and do everything he can to help us return to live with him and Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
