Hi I'm Deb

I have always lived in the midwest. I work with my husband with real estate marketing and a Property Manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work with my husband assisting with real estate marketing and property management. I love spending time with my family and friends, and taking family pictures. I like to crochet and read books. My husband Jim and I have been married for 31 years. We have 2 sons which are grown and attending college. We love it when they come home to visit.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. One of the reasons I love being a Mormon is that I know my family can be an eternal family. Our family relationships do not end at death. We can be with them in Heaven. Life has struggles and it is how we go through those that really matters. Having close family relationships and knowledge of the gospel really strengthen us. I have a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father. I know I can return to live with my Heavenly Father as long as I strive everyday to follow his commandments. Prayer helps to comfort and gives us answers. I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father. I think when women remember to think of themselves this way they realize how important they are to themselves and the things they have to offer. He is always a constant in my life. I love getting together with the other LDS women and visiting and learning new talents. This gospel is very goal oriented. I am continually learning new things. We have been given so much. Jesus Christ sacrificed his own life for us and I believe being obedient and doing service for others is a small way to repay Him. It is difficult raising a family but it would even be more difficult if I didn't have the gospel and the standards they represent in my life. The world is constantly changing but the gospel does not. It is here for us to take part in and receive blessings and guidance.

How I live my faith

Each of us have a calling in our Ward. A calling is a position we are asked to do to serve each other. Serving brings such happiness to your life. Right now I serve in the Primary. I work with children from 18 months to 12 years of age. I love it!! It is great to teach children about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They learn so fast. And it seems like I am constantly learning from them also. Each month I am assigned to visit 4 other women in our congregation. There is a small lesson we give and visit with her at her home to see how she is doing and if there is anything we can do to be of service. Sometimes it is just sitting beside her with a listening ear. It is a wonderful way to get to know each other and serve one another if needed.
