Hi I'm Phil

I have a question for a last name. I love to draw. I have a little brother that's taller than me... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the older one of two boys in my family and we live with our mum! My parents divorced when I was five but both my dad and mum play an active part in my life. So we're not a huge family but we love each other and create many awesome memories together :D I'm currently serving in the Washington Everett Mission! This is my first time living outside of Australia and I'm having an amazing time helping the people of Washington learn about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Before I came out on my mission I was working at KFC for a year and a half which enabled me to save up for my whole mission. Yes that is correct, we pay for it ourselves! As far as hobbies go... I really love to draw, I've been doing it ever since I could hold a pencil. God blesses us each with gifts and talents and I really feel that being creative is one that he has blessed me with. I get the most joy out of creating or drawing things for other people. I also love video games and movies (who doesn't?) especially fantasy ones involving dragons and such... that's also what I mainly like to draw. When I'm not drawing or watching movies I really love to hang out with my friends and family. As fun as video games and movies are... nothing beats sharing a good time and good laughs with real people!

Why I am a Mormon

Well I myself was born into the Church. But even those of us born into the faith all come to a point when we must find out for ourselves whether or not the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one true and living church on the face of the earth today. I grew up really believing that the Church was true but I soon noticed that my friends and family around me said that they KNEW it was true. I really didn't feel I could say that for myself and it bothered me. So I made a point to get an answer for myself that being a "Mormon" was really what God wanted me to be. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed and asked Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ if the book was true... as I did so I received a witness from the Holy Ghost that it is indeed true. Because I KNOW the Book of Mormon is true, I know that the Church is true and that Christ is at it's head and that it is being guided by Him through the Prophet that He has called. I continue to gain more and more reasons why I'm a Mormon as I live my faith. It's only when you do something yourself that you can truly gain a testimony of that particular thing. I can learn so much from others and from the scriptures but it's not until you put it to the test that you really gain experience. The joy that has come into my life as I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a testimony to me that God and Jesus Christ know me personally and love me perfectly!

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith through serving as a missionary for two years! As a missionary I go around teaching others about our Church and inviting them to come and learn more about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ... you may have seen us in our suits and ties with the black name tag on. Say Hi! We don't bite... As a missionary it is so important that I "practice what I preach" so I'm always striving to do better. The Holy Ghost plays a vital role in my life and in order to receive His guidance I need to make sure that I'm living the way I should and surrounding myself with good things, be it music, television, friends, even my own thoughts! We all fall short, it's part of our nature, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I'm always able to get back on my feet and continue on the path back to my loving Heavenly Father. As a servant of the Lord I serve others... the blessings that come into my life as I put others needs before my own are innumerable! There is no better way to forget your own problems than by putting them aside to help someone else with theirs. And don't think that I was smart enough to come up with this concept myself... this truth along with many others, I have learned through the fulness of Christ's Gospel taught within His Church by His Prophets and Apostles. It's all so true and living it is the best way to find out!
