Hi I'm Mysty

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a member and we have 5 children. Currently my mother lives with us as well. We help her monitor her health and she helps us with the kids. Our faith is the center of our life and guides the way we raise our family and live our lives on a daily basis.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church in a semi active family and became inactive after i left home. I went through my rebellious phase and made mistakes and have to live with the consequences of that everyday. Even when i was inactive i never quit believing and still identified myself as a Mormon. After i met my husband I became semi active again he was not a member but his mom is so I would go to church with his mom sometimes even though i wasn't living all the principles. When we decided to marry we were married in the Gym at the church by his mom's bishop. When our first child was born I took her to church with me when i went. I just wasn't making it a priority in my life and then our son was still born and I came to the realization that i needed to live my life according to my faith in order to survive. My faith and our beliefs have gotten us through the incredible pain of losing a child. My husband joined the church and we look forward and are working toward being sealed as a family in the temple for time and eternity. Knowing that god's love is like that of a forgiving parent merciful and never ending has gotten me through some very difficult times and give us unending hope for the future.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to make a positive difference in the world everyday. I try to live by the words of one of my favorite hymns "Have I done Any good?". It says " Have I done any good in the world today? Have i helped anyone in need? Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad? If not, I have failed indeed. Has anyone's burden been lighter today because i was willing to share? Have the sick and the weary been helped on their way? When they needed my help was i there? Then wake up and do something more than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, a blessing of duty and love. There are chances for work all around just now, opportunities right in our way. Do not let them pass by, saying, sometimes i'll try but go and do something today. Tis noble of man to work and to give; love's labor has merit alone. Only he who does something helps others to live. To God each good work will be known. Then wake up and do something more than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure a joy beyond measure a blessing of duty and love". We believe in service to others and that service should start in the home with your family and spread to the community.
