Hi I'm Heather Lindsey Buckles

I'm a wife, mother of 4 sons, a business owner, an avid reader, a PTA president and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of almost 21 years, a mother of 4 sons. My husband and I own our own business producing Wedding Expos in the Seattle and Honolulu,Hawaii area. We do 9 expos a year, publish a magazine and run a website called www.bridesclub.com. I love to read and write reviews on a non-profit blog www.theyshallwalk.com. I am the PTA president of my 3rd sons School. It is a Big Picture School and this is the charter year so I am excited to be working on that. I taught Montessori School for many years and really enjoy teaching children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have faith in Christ and believe he has a father. I want to become more Christlike in my daily life so I enjoy hearing the teachings at church each Sabbath. I love the family centered programs and that I can be with my family forever. I feel the presence of the Holy Ghost when I go to church, partake of the Sacrament, and pray by myself and with my family. I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ offers the most complete organization of the Church that Christ established when he lived on earth.

How I live my faith

I teach the Nursery class at Church. 18month to 3 years old. I love to see the faith and belief in the children's eyes as they hear the words of Jesus from the scriptures and sing songs about the love he has for us. I attend my meetings regularly and visit several sisters in our ward once a month to teach them a small message and check on how they are doing. I am building relationships with women I may not otherwise have known.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Heather Lindsey Buckles
A testimony is the personal witness an individual has received from the Holy Ghost about some aspect of faith or religion. The foundation is everyone's testimony is that Heavenly Father lives and loves us, He is the Father of our spirit; Jesus Christ lives, He is the son of God, and He carried out the atonement; Joseph Smith is a prophet, which God called in these modern days to restore the church as Jesus Christ established it while he lived on the Earth; that we are lead today by a prophet; and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Savior's church on the Earth today. Personal revelations and witnesses can be attained on other subjects as well like faith, families, service, the scriptures, etc. Show more Show less
