Hi I'm David

I'm a father of 4, a tax attorney, and a surfer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an attorney, but I work with a global tax firm helping business owners manage risk. I'm the oldest of three children. I grew up in Southern California and spent much of my youth swimming, surfing and spending time with friends and family. When I'm not in the office I'm spending time with my wife and children just having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know that this is Christ's church. My parents were converts to the church. As a boy I was able to watch their testimonies in the gospel of Jesus Christ grow. As their discipleship deepened I saw an increase of love and devotion within our home. They taught me to trust in God and follow the guidance of His Spirit. When I discovered for myself that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that he translated the Book of Mormon, I felt so peaceful and full of love for our Savior. In that moment I wanted the whole world to be able to feel what I was feeling. From that simple experience as a boy my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ has blossomed. Over the years my own discipleship has deepened and my relationship with our Savior has grown. I find inspiration in knowing that I am literally a son of God. I find comfort in knowing that He loves me and that He continues to personally lead and guide His children who are struggling here on Earth. I find joy in the solid foundation that the gospel of Jesus Christ provides for my marriage. I find strength and peace in knowing that I follow a living prophet of God. As I have followed the promptings of the Holy Spirit I have seen my life, and the lives of my wife and children, blessed beyond measure.

How I live my faith

My wife and I love reading the scriptures and praying together. It helps us to see past the day-to-day garbage and focus on what is really important. We also love attending church on Sundays as a family. At church, I assist the Bishop and his two counsellors in meeting the needs of our local congregation. As I serve other people, I feel the love that Christ has for us and it inspires me to live my faith more fully. We spend a lot of time with our children teaching them and just having fun. Each of our children have different personalities and needs. I love getting to know them and developing lasting friendships with them. We believe that our family can be together forever, even after death, and so we are working on building a family that wants to be together for eternity.
