Hi I'm Chase

I'm a Husband. I'm a Texan. I love Football. I love Basketball. I'm a Chronic Illness Survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently got married to my sweet and beautiful wife, Ashley. I am currently a student studying to go to medical school. Growing up I always loved playing football and basketball. My family and I moved a lot but I always found great friends in each of the places I lived. My family was always there to support me. My sophmore year of high school I had a necessary surgery. After the surgery, I got really sick. I lost a lot of weight and went to many doctors searching for a diagnosis and a cure. We tried everything but we could not find anything to help me. There were many times when I thought I might not live. Miraculously, I was led to a doctor with the knowledge and skills to cure me. Now I'm alive and healthier than ever. I still love playing football and basketball. I also have a great family and amazing friends that I love to spend time with.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know there is nothing else in the world that can bring me more happiness than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The trials in my life were not always easy. Moving to different states in High School was tough because it was pretty scary not knowing what to expect. But through this experience I learned that God really does put people in my path to help me through the trials in life. When I got sick, there were a lot of tough days for me. The pain was so intense, and at times, it was more than I could bare. When I was in a lot of pain, my father would give me a Priesthood Blessing. Within minutes, the pain I felt would be alleviated. I have seen many miracles with the power of the Priesthood. Also, through this sickness, I learned of the great power of the Atonement. It is amazing to me that Jesus Christ felt all our pain, grief, and sorrow. I know that He was always there with me to help me endure. One of the toughest parts was not being able to see my high school dreams come true of playing football and basketball. Through this whole experience, I was still happy. I was happy because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his teachings. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I feel the Spirit when I read it. I also know that our modern day Prophet and Apostles are called of God. Any time I hear them speak or read their talks, I feel the Spirit. The Spirit gives me a great feeling of peace and comfort that if I listen to their counsel, I will be happy. I love my Family, and they have always been there for me. I know that the Gospel blesses families and helps us to be happy amidst the trials we face in life. Through the Gospel, we can be with our families forever. For me, there is always something to smile and laugh about in life. I know that the Gospel always helps me to keep a smile on my face.

How I live my faith

I love life. It is a miraculous thing that we can come here to this earth to learn and gain experience. I am an imperfect person with weaknesses, just like everyone. It can be a very high stress world that we live in. I know that by simply smiling each and everyday, you can bring light into the world around you. I love going to Church and learning. I also try going to the temple every month. There is a special feeling when you go to the temple, and it really feels like heaven on earth. Everyday I do my best to have faith and hope. I know that when I put my trust in the Lord I am happier, and he can help me to accomplish anything. Each and everyday I feel like I receive lots of inspiration when I ponder and think about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is all these small and simple things that help make me feel happy and fulfilled.
