Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a Mormon and a children's book illustrator.

About Me

With a wonderful wife and three little boys, I am a very blessed individual. I work from home as a freelance children's book illustrator, daily drawing and painting everything from cute puppies to plunderous pirates. When out of my small art studio, I love to play. Football, baseball, frisbee, freeze-tag, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, dirt-biking, snowboarding, water-skiing and strumming my ukulele. Though I get much enjoyment out of many different activities, I find my greatest joys in serving others and raising my children with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

Even with loving parents and grandparents raising me in this church, ultimately the choice to be a Mormon is mine. From a young age I felt the truth of the doctrines and principles taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And as I have tested many of the promises made by the Lord and his prophets, I am learning that true joy is obtained by following Jesus Christ

How I live my faith

The Savior taught that we know his followers by their fruits. I try daily to align my thoughts, words and actions with those of Jesus Christ. This includes virtuous thoughts, kindness in my words, and serving others. Am I always successful? No. But as I make a consistent effort to follow the Lords direction - many times putting off my own wants - I feel the peace that he promises and am blessed. Sometimes those blessings are immediate and some haven't come for years, but I am always blessed for following Jesus Christ. I currently serve in the Young Men's program in the Church. I meet with the 12-18 year old young men each Sunday, Wednesday and other days of the week. We talk, go on outings, and work on ways they can come closer to Jesus Christ. Those young men that strive to draw closer to the Savior are better students, leaders in the community and kinder to their families. I pray that my "fruits" will identify me as one of Christ's followers.
